Leo approaches counselling from a generalist lens, welcoming of any client. Leo is particularly interested in, and specialises in the areas below:

Being married or in a relationship can be amazing, but can certainly have its challenges. Often couples may think they are travelling along fine and then an incident, or incidents can occur within or outside the relationship that cause issues to be realised or the wheels to really come off the bus.

Leo is guided primarily by a Gottman approach to couples therapy. Gottman is the most widely used model in the world at present and is built not just on decades of supporting evidence-based research, but also via a very solid system of exercises and experiential tools to use in sessions.

Leo also is influenced by a number of other models in his practice with couples which include psychodynamic and attachment based systems such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, along with systems of personality and integration such as the Enneagram and Schema Therapy.
